Rev. McCarthy recently left his position as rector of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Charlotte to follow his passion and establish Regent Schools of the Carolinas. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from Emory and Henry College in 1974 and his Master of Divinity from Virginia Theological Seminary in 1978. Reverend McCarthy is a co-founder of Trinity Episcopal School and Palisades Episcopal School in the Charlotte region.

Dr. Nicholas D. Gennett
Dr. Gennett holds a bachelor’s degree in history and government from Ohio University, a master’s degree in counseling psychology, and a doctoral degree in higher education administration and philosophy from Kent State University. He compiled a 40 year career in the field of education, primarily in college and university administration.
Mr. Andrew Kern
Mr. Kern is the author of Classical Education, The Movement Sweeping America. Mr. Kern holds a bachelor’s degree summa cum laude in liberal arts from Concordia University in Milwaukee, WI. He has been instrumental in the revival of Christian classical education over the past 15 years having founded three Christian classical education schools throughout the United States.
