Our mission is to develop exemplary learning communities within schools of exceptional Christian character and classical education, knowledge and values.

In a Christian Classical School children are loved and challenged. They are taught how to think, not what to think. Learning is infused with the transformative values of the Kingdom of God in chapel and in class, so students are equipped to internalize their learning. Students learn to live life from the inside out, and not by the ever changing demands of a rudderless society. In this way, we form exceptional students into exceptional citizens.

Model of Christian Classical Education

While Regent Schools of the Carolinas is a new school system, it is a continuation of a tradition that stretches back to antiquity. The history of learning in the western world comes from two places.

  • From Athens we receive universal law, scientific principle and the process of reason. We could call this knowledge of the mind.
  • From Jerusalem we receive the values of the Kingdom of God. We could call this knowledge of the heart.

Today, there is great interest throughout the United States to rediscover “wisdom and virtue”—through the Christian classical philosophy and methodology of education. Over two hundred such schools are currently in operation, and many more are being built today.

The establishment of RSC has been founded on this rich composite of educational expertise has been focused on the establishment of Regent Schools. Further, RS C advances Christian classical education by bringing several important “firsts” to the field:

  • RSC is the only multi-denominational Christian private school system in the Charlotte area.
  • RSC is uniquely the only school system in the country which features a Christian classical philosophy and methodology.
  • RSC will be among the first to actively partner with other community-based organizations such as local churches and YMCA branches.
  • RSC is pioneering the concept of working with developers of new residential communities to establish a Regent School as an essential component of the community.
